Learning from the big shot

yesterday's lunch with H. Han is average good. since KO terminate business, it leave only Bellini for us, temperory; the first greeting from Harold is : How many contract you signed recently, well, I can't reply with postive answer, so the air cool down, during the lunch, H. advise me that the success rate of visiting client should be reviewed and I should find a right approach to do marketing, according to my understanding, the Marketing means to sale my concept of product and service.

H. also asked me to carefully review our product offereing -- the service and product we have , and how to tailor to customers' need? yes, I know all about this, the problem is, to sell the concept before the product is difficult, it take longer than eveyone expect before you can really present any product. as Harold mentioned, market is giving, we should change, change to survive and he advise me to gain the commercial success first before csr goal. yes, I know, loud and clear, but how to change the current situation and drastically -- in his terms, change our business direction? this is something serious to be discussed with Celine.

the 90 minutes meeting with Stan is another classic, thanks to my lately learning, I am not easily to be shaked, so, one by one, I disclose the csr Coproratin with his entilty and Stan himself, culture marketing as the second new concept, Reibin's developing plan and talked a little bit about Eric - the sport marketing company his son establish and win a great reputation these days - due to Yankee pitcher Wang's success in the MLB. this is the conclusion I draw below:

1. csr is a tough road to climb, even Stan understand, so before the concept being well accepted, i can only be teated as a partner with no salary, on commision basis.
2. my involoved in Stan's new iniatiative won't cover my commitment to my own company and emoployee
3. promote csr community buisness should get the consensus from other partner in Stan's company.
4. to leverage Stan's reputation is OK, but the plan should be significant enoung.
5. culture marketing and promotion should integrate or cooperate with Eric - son of Stan sports marketing business.
6. Reibing project can be big or small, depending on the result.

ths conclusion limited imagination to cooporate with Stan, discuss with Celine this morning, she is so mad about it and asked me not to spend any energe on this anymore.

well.... basically, I agree
