Point of Now / Know / No return
it's like a full handed opportunity vanish in the sky, this is exactly what happened for the past year, but I am not depressed, beacuse there's some guide infornt of me. leading me to the future that require my full attendtion and concentrations.Last night, dinner with Joe / Fenny is a great encountering, I attending their wedding 2 weeks ago, yes, all by an unexpected oral promise when I was then CEO of my previous job at So-net. I made my promise by attending their wedding, the couple wish to return the favor by inviting me to OUTBACK - An American steakhouse for gratitude. I didn't decline their invitation for 2 reasons -- one is this might be a long waighing planning, one is I am looking up to this young person and wish to extend our friendship in some way.
the conversation is great, I found the reason why he resigned from So-net. it was not what I heard from Jay, the confrontations between colleages is minor, the key to push him out is the dysfuntional organization, no directions for these youn talent to follow, in a blur and non-performering organization, a man full of passion will soon decay., I respect his candid in sharing and learning the new family value their family is keeping - It's rare to see in the contemporary world that the younger generation wish to stay and raise the elder parent. I did admire the value this young man equipped.
Disney session wasn't as please as I thought, I am lucky to prepare for this session, preparing for 6 hours at home at least, without knowing there's a JD from Disney, Alex didn't send it to me and when we met last time, he mentioned something like since this is newly created postion, there's no written JD ... Oh my God, you were inviting to an important examination without know how the judges will shout the questiona, such a blind date conducted by professional executive recruiter is unbelivelier, well, I didn't take is too seriously. it happend. V. the person who I talked to speak too fast, too fast for anyone to think before come up with appropriate answer, If I am right, to find a great person to lead a new postion , it take time and patient to read the person, this is nothing related to efficiency.. I had a doubt about this organizatin. never mind.
Peter's memorial concert launch a giant step yesterday, the announce press party at LioFu hotel tell the people how it will take place. veteran gathering under one roof is interesting, this is Peter who networks up together, the only videos shown on screen is the collabrolation work we did in London with London Symphony Orchistra , my little speech came after the film and I did disclose the 3 stories happend before / at London, I didn't ruin Peter's credit , I won't but to tell the truth that almost everyone knows when initative project with Peter. chat with Mrs. Chang, son and daughter stayed in Taipei and running the Italian restaurant with anit... I should find time to meet them.
