Diary of a CEO

I haven’t got up here in my attic study room for about a week, this is exactly the time slot I didn't contribute to my blog writing, I didn't turn on my PC at home for a week also, I thought constantly I will keep the blog habit a diary routine, I was wrong about that; I need to look what I've write before to continue my personal history; let's began with the board meeting, day before board meeting, L's secretary inform my secretary that he couldn't attend the meeting, I was shock and so unhappy, as executives coming over from Japan is for this meeting and to accommodate his schedule, since we plan to buy back the share from him, a few directors treat it as an unfriendly and immature attitude, I ran into him at yoyo's concert -- yes, it's me who arrange the tickets for him, I challenged him why fail to attend, he had no idea that this is a big issue, you can't always set your priority by you own and ignore others' feeling, especially for a multinational company, he owes everybody an apology, but the impression he left will never be mend again.

As usual, I go to the airport and pick up Chiarman Y, he fly along, after immigration, the first thing he did is light on one cigarette while waiting for the car, I supposed to bring him to Ding Tai Fung for light meal, but he said he was quite full. instead, I brought him to my secret garden -- the AV garrally cafe -- La Pagton, this cafe is an unique place for hide away in the city, I found it year ago and accidentally knows that the owner is one of my old friend, so, it become a private cafe for me and a few friend, the cafe only provide good coffee and one unique service, the best sound, yes, I means the best sound coming form the best HI-FI equipment in the world, you may enjoy a good coffee with great music, Y is so amazing to see this place, he feels relax, so, I asked him about the regeneration 60 -- now they change it to transforming 60 - a big scale reengineering in the history of our company, according to the announcement release 28th, I see no big change, or to put it this way, I see no action or action plans, when touch this sensitive question, Y reply with a yes and follow with one sentence -- the change will come by next April -- a new beginning of Fiscal year.

Board meeting went smoothly, the pressure come when Y ask a real and simply P and L to show how we goanna make Break Even a reality by next March, our fininace data didn't prepare good enough to response at the meeting, I am a little bit embarrassed and of course, disappointed. dinner at Fu Yung is to please all the foreign guest, I order the less expensive set menu -- 1880 one person, the total spending less than 20,000, I guess everyone's happy that night.

Following morning, I wake up at 5:00 am and see off 2 executives from Regent hotel, it's 7:20 am when they leave, check my schedule, I had 90 minutes window to the next meeting, so, Regent Sauna become the idea place to refresh my body and soul, after the hot bath, I met David at the changing room, yes, another coincident, he drag me for 20 minutes conversation, I know the meaning, so reply to him that I will get back to his investment idea before weekend, I had the answer already, but would like to wait for a few days, it's funny to be a shareholder but didn't attend any of the meeting and receiving any of the stock, but only by David's oral explanation, I have to agree on everything and increase the investment , it's so funny, anyway, I am not doing this anymore.

Executive Yuang's meeting is for the GIO's function in combining publishing, music, movie . TV to one National multi-media library / developing concept and team up with MOEA's culture and creative industry development project, as I was elected as one of the committee members' under Executive Yuang, so, I spend 3 hours at the meeting and contribute 10 minutes of my knowledge, Minister with portfolio -- Mr. Chen chair the meeting. I took Martin to the local noodle shop for lunch, yes, the taste is so good, we spend like 200 something and everyone is so content.

Roger came for the online game treasure trading platform presentation, the idea is interesting, so I am OK with exchange banner with them, the business model is proven in Korea, shall be OK here in Taiwan, I went home earlier that day.

Friday, COO fly to Tokyo for meetings, so, I sit in the office and taking care of diary routine, birthday party / coffee with colleague, home for 2 movie " car racing " and " Gangs of New York ", Saturday, I went for H' pre-wedding party, 2 hours before the party, I bought the book " 1421 -- the day China discover the world ", I suppose to enjoy 2 hours of reading before the party, so, I found a cafe and sit down, yes, another coincident happen, I met Martin -- Son of Mr. Yu, we chat for an hour and he ask if we shall invite his father -- he wish me to call his father, so, Mr, Yu came, then I know they haven’t talk to each other for a while, yes, I am building the bridge again, when I am alone with Martin, learn the fact about Jimmy -- Executive Director of the TV group and know why he can enjoy doing his own thing under the company umbrella. Helen's party is a nice one, a few of our colleague pay a lot of heart preparing it, young man always love this, yes, maybe it deserve.

Sunday is the inauguration party for Culture and Creative Industry Development Committee, Prime Minister Mr. Yu was invited to give a speech and afterward we have the first official meeting, I met one of the business heroine -- Miss Yin -- CEO of High Speed Rail, she is the committee member as well.
