Diary of a CEO

Talking to Corbett and exchange idea of the value-added publishing firm for a while, we had a great dinner again last night at the restaurant Irene book for us, the Her-Shing Japanese restaurant, the small but neat place let me feel like eating at home, the cuisine they provide is so tasteful and delicate that I almost forget not to eat too much and spoiled my diet program; although it is not a physical diet program, but it is a mental diet project, the spirit to cease or reduce the desire for eating, and the hungry for gomant food. but Her-Shing is such a great place, it's so good that we only talking about the business for less than 30 minutes then concentrate on the food; well, I don't know it's good or bad, but it can save breath if you really don't want to talk to somebody, bring him to a great restaurant, then simply enjoy the food; I remember James Sung, the chairman of PFP said it once, when eating , don't discuss business, when discuss business, don't eat. if you observe the eating and talking behavior for people over the meal, the one who do the talking seldom eat, if the guy who ate and raise short question, while listing to a long answer, he continue eating, so, what can be achieved during the meal discussion ? I like the theory James developed.

I promise to provide a structure for this initiative next week.

Today, dinner with president of Infoserve, the first ISP in Taiwan who launch their business 11 years ago, he brought his brother in law to the dinner, this is our 4th dinner and second encounter with Mr. Wu, it is so hard to image that we had a mutual friend who running a restaurant business in Chin-Shen, where I plan to take 70 of our staff there on Friday night for gathering; we had a charm and getting quite familiar, I may talk too much, but leave positive impression to the dinner companion; Infoserve is now working on a project with Lucent in the State, it cross with my career plan in next few years, to run a public company in the State, relocate to States with my family. I don't know if the dream will come true, but it worth dreaming.

Mont Blanc Taiwan invite me to be the endoser for the " Starwalker " project , this is to pick up the so called " Elite of tomorrow " , I am flatter , but exciting, although I notice this is a high-level markeing campaign, but I accept it as this will not lower my status, and the elite of tomorrow title will put me on the " Watch List " for business next, it's an interesting event, I will attend the forum on Friday evening, my wife will handle my dressing that day. this sum up today and yesterday.
