We dicided to accept the regination of Enginerring VP, on the exit conversation, I invited him to share his uncomfortable feeling with us; the ego in his mind structured still; self-center mindset make his accusition a frangile object to me; this is like looking to the mirrow, what you see is not the reflection of yourself, but somebody else , and the attitude and personality extracted from the reflection is just what you hated. he never aware of his emotion and seldom think of his no-compromise attitude suffered a lot of his co-workers in the office; Yes, I am not saying there's no contribution nor low efforts he made; a very self-displined person and follow every instruction, good in negociate the internet related cost - such as lease line, ATM truck, bandwidth etc. the company in now mature in handling this portion, as he said to us, he didn't know his value in the company anymore, and he didn't agree with the direction we are heading for. this is fine, I shake hand with COO after the conversation with Tech VP, congradulated him on leaving a growing burdon in the office.

Lunch with T. from Tokyo, another expatrate join us from Tokyo, he report to duty last Thursday with a new hair style - very short, he explained to me he shave the head himself, I joke about the " Strating all over agian ", during the lunch, I asked him what cause the operation in HK so difficult and asked his mission in our company; he provide me a good answer : To be successful, or to make a good success story on his career, he's been working for 8 years, from the trading of Steel to AOL Japan and then joing Sony Network Communciation and transfer to the HK operation; he feel frustrated by not deliver success story so far; he wish to write a chapter of success story with us; when asking the project on hand and the challenge he will be facing, he hold strong confidence , and he asked me, do I have faith in what he is doing ? Of course, we believe in the people who belief in what they are doing. the converstaion ended by 2:00 , just before I rush to the Taiwan Expose project meeting.

Together with music elite from all area -- performance, production , lables and governmental body, they are planning a 2008 International Music Event, this is a final session to formation a consumian and committe in structure a monitoring and working platform for the goals, a small scale of tesing water project shall be held in 2006, the it will bring to a major scale of event in 2008, my appearance is not a surprise, but a positve power to lead the industry, I knew they respect me, and I take it naturally and voluntee to be the screening committe offical in identifiing the committe members; they don't have objection, I always stay in mainstrem , in a critical positon but reach my hand to the non-maintream ( independant ) and making friend with; the leader role was naturally created then. C. know how I may exercise my authroity and she is right.

The break with Alex is fun, he is a great pitcher, knowing what I like and dislike and wish to place me to MTV, well, Tom left last month, the brand is jerpordise and no leadership anymore... I am so negitive about this offering, I wouldn't think about i until we went through a family / friend chat, finally, I told Alext under 3 condition, we may have a converstion with them :
1. Greater China positon.
2. Free hand for 2 years.
3. Same or higher perk.
he asked if those 3 condition were accpeted, what's the percentage to join ? I said 60% , he laughed and reply with no way, I raised it to 75% and told him the 25% depend on the person I report to....... he fully understand what I ma saying....
Jean didn't make time for our appointment on this trip, I am OK, after Alex, a causal dinner with Meng, the alumni who I like when return to study 7 years ago, although I didn't finish the course, ( I only study for one semester ) but the relationship build and friendship established were so health, I overheard his illness and frustration from one of the alumni, ( this is a must to me and my wife, we run into person we know in every occation, this happen 3 weeks ago when we go to Shinden -- a local-local market for Red face duck hot pot, this classmate told me about Meng, I decided to invited him for a private dinner ), the situation wasn't so bad, he did take a long rest, like 2 months, didn't feeling well, heavy workload. we share a few thing on the dinner table, I recommend him to read the book " 7 habits " and encourge him to take the training couse, this is a paradigm shift , a assessment to your work and life.

yesterday, when discussion the 2008, I discovered a great Italian restaruat- Casa della pasta -- I love the deco and ambience, this coming Sunday, Sound's birthday, I am planning to bring everyone there.
