Diary of a CEO

Chen Yiu is an employee in our company, he works in engineering dept. we recruit him 3 months ago, after he pass the final interview with COO, COO told me that he is the elder brother of little roger -- who I am familiar with but miss the chance of working together -- I remember send him a letter talking about the " Chemistry " in work place, when having the welcome talk -- which I did whenever there are new employee join us - to follow the interview procedure, unless we are recruiting manger above, otherwise, I will not be in the interviewing table with them, so I inform HR to arrange such a " welcome talk " when the new comer on board for a month, this is the " Platform " I build for knowing our people better; when having this session with Chen Yiu, he told me why he apply for this position in So-net was due to little Roger’s encouragement, I am impressed by little Roger’s mature and never give up attitude. I think this 2 brothers will be big someday.

Today, I invited both of the brother for lunch at Belinli -- A Japanese - Italian restaurant, I initiative this chance to build a sold friendship among us, as Chen Yiu is a tech geek and little roger tend to be in business administration field, they are ideal partner to complimentary establishing new things; we chat during the lunch, one is 14 years younger than me, the other is 16, but when conduct the conversation about WIFI, Wireless internet, new gadget and the career development, I found there's no generation gap between us, I asked what they wish to be by the age of 14, Chen Yi want to be a COO, little roger is more ambitious and want to be the CEO, in return, they asked me the same question, my answers is : maybe a lot of people think I've achieve the goal in my business cycle and treated as the peak of my career, but I don't think so, I am not sure if I am ambitious still to fight for next position, but I think the road ahead is full of excitement and I am willing to take more challenge if opportunity comes, and what I am planning to do now ? well, I would like to influence young and talent people and guild them to the bank of success; Chen Yiu said, because my young at heart make me full of energy to learn and know new things; when our topic move to next new technology, I convey the " Think First before Think Next " concept to them, it seems they are in deep thinking. this is a good meal and I will continue to arrange meal such as these with my young friend.

Wife keep complaining and told me she is trapped in the cage and there's no way to escape, when we drive to dinner, I can't help but stop the car and tell her how I feel and How I wish to solve her problem in mind, the question is : if we can't really chang the relationship such as couple, father and son, mother in law etc, the least thing we do is don't cumulate the dislike and make it thin to a degree you can't stand; she said she is only complain for a hour and this situation continue for 20 years already, my reply to her is : your hours a day to me is " every hours a day for 20 years ", she should also feel my heart. this is how
