Watch the PTS documentary series last night, the Thursday documentary time become me and my wife's routine habit now; last night, it re-run the farmers' story titled " Happy event without Harvest ", this is my second time saw it, and I accompany my wife throughout the program, the senior farmer couples ( Husband 75, Wife 74; BTW, by the time it air, they should gain one more year ) are cute, opmestic to every things, when the bad luck falling upon the husband when he was 50 years old, he lost his right eye, from the conversation he delivered, he didn't complained about this misfit, but worried the liability his father left to him will not able to settled, he only wish to have a health body for writing off the liability; recovery from the ill, he think hard and try to explain why the bad luck chase him, the answer to his heart is: he didn't perform any bad behavior, the only thing he may think of is when preparing the peanut for merchant, the dirt may not washed away from all the peanut, when the merchant bought those peanut, merchant didn't earn his money due to this possible defeat of peanut quality, so God punish him; so, after recovery from the ill, he worship God even sincere and alert to every deed he perform; the wife is a traditional farmer's wife, not only doing all the house wife works, but to help his husband handle the farmers' routine activities, in order to return the liability, she took part time job in electronic manufacture during the off season earning every cent for his husband. they enjoy what they did, no complain; this little village used to be a boomtown, since the government launch a farming land protection project, it prohibite the land change to factory usuage, so, the prosiperity gone and young man left home pursuing better life, currently in the village, those who still working in the farm are older than 70; the documentary recorded possible the last farmer village in Taiwan, we see diligence farmers, the rice field, ploughing cow, hand-made cotton quilt and the wrankled farmer with persistancy.
Birthday cake sent by the brother, it's a heavy chocolate, according to her, this is her favorite flavor, to me, it's like chewing the chocolate, the only difference is its shape, anyway, I will send her a thank you note.
Wife told me some of our employee guessed the company trip to Okinawa wasn't a fair voting, and they though the farewell committe members tried to please executive and manipulate the voting result; another bad influence coming from the Presidencial Election Gun shot; I response to my wife that most of our employee take their fisrt job in our company, they never experiecne the lay off, demanding and mean management, cutting the warefare and losting the dignity in working place; no one know if we had any company trip when next execuive running the operation and no one knows is fhe HQ wish to shut down our business in Taiwan, they are too naive; yes, I know, I can't blame people who don't have such an experience to obtain the quality to appreciate, so, I am not upset, but to tell her how I tried to make they grouping in one trip and sacrifice myself without driver for one day; he don't even express his gratitude to me? never mind.
Finishing Itoh-san's itinerary with Co. yesterday, Co.is the only person who tells 3 difference from my outlook immediately; losing weight, changing hair style, replace a new eye glass; such a detailed observer, no wonder he is so sensitive to be an artist.
