Conversation with Chairman
This is the conversation between Chairman and CEO; day before the Board Meeting, Chairman arrived, the executive had convey the message about my leaving to him, so, we had an appointment to discuss it further after the dinner; he stayed in Regent Hotel, we began our conversation by 9:30 pm, I order a sparking water, he ordered a liquer coffee - French Coffee; Why? is the first session, I explained to him how I wish to fullfil my responsibility as a " Son " to a " Father " and accompany him for a long leave back home, and to consider my own future also. Chairman is very nice, he tried to accommodate my need physically, however, the " Father Gesture " wasn't something he can help, and he can't judge whether my decision to leave is right or wrong / Good or Bad ; Leaving a company in such a high position require some decent manner, response for 400 people can't easily take off your hat and walk away. He finally accept my regination and inform me how to process it will be completed in Nov. the idea day of announing my leaving should be Mid-Jan. I am no sure if Chairman will take my suggestion, put me to a consultant role until end of Feb. if he agreed, then I may release from the financial urgency.Board meeting taking much longer then we expected, New Chairman play tough again, I really hate to tango with him, but as I learn from " Benjimin Carson " -- Do not invest energy in negative diretion. no anger with others. so, I hide my dignity somewhere and keep the meeting in smooth. a lot of follow up actions. I prepared the Amassdor Hotel lunch box, a very delicious box. however, I don't think anyone enjoy it at that moment.
Leaving for my appointment with Professor C. after the long board meeting, sharing a few things with him, first I updated my career move and where the opportunity are and then we talked about the " Co-writting Project " for publishing our books. the third and last topic is the family issue, when he subtly disclose his trouble over the phone on Monday, I wasn't aware that the situration could be this terrible, this is exactly the identical version to my prior colleage - K. a Paronoid mate living with you, and you can't do anything about it, the development will bring some unexpected but foresee misfits in life. I don't know how to reach my hand, but telling him call me anytime when needed, and I am planning to spend more time with him.
When talked about this situration to my wife, her instinct is divorce, as soon as possilbe. well, I don't know, if LOVE means sacrifice, then we don't have the position to ask thme leave, but this is a torchure to him , to his wife, and to their children.
YPO new members' presentation, both of them follow my template, I am totally fine with this machanism, making people learn how to introduce themself in better method cost me nothing. H. is doing better than J.; J. should not emphasis on " the used be beautiful wife ' in public, this is not bringing any credit, but to make others feel wiered.
