flash animation ( animation in flash format / tech so to speak ) bring the idea to Director Chang, who want to release series of animation films coming out of his " Zen " and " Human / Object " concept; the first story is so impress, it talked about a homeless dog -- yes, a dog, Taiwanese local / non - urban dog who was abandoned or run away from his master -- its master is a retire solider in Taiwan ( we call him honorable citizen to reconiged their contribution during the 8 years Sino-Japan war and 4 years Civil War with Community Party -- most of them unmarried and evacuated to Taiwan with Chang Kai Shek ) who enjoy eating dog ( in the Candonese curisne, dog have been treated as a very health food for man , they developed recipy for this little animal ), so the solider raised a little dog, not as puppy, but for the purpose of eating it someday, it come a day when the weather is cold and the dog is fat ( or old enough ), the old man called upon the dog who just beneath the door, with the tail waving, the little yellow ( I call it ) approach to his master with a smile, suddenly, the old man take out a hammer -- hugh wooden pillar hitting the head of the dog, the dog cry and hurt so much, but it didn't die immediately, instanct told little yellow running out of the door as soon as possible, but when cross the door, it turn around and gaze at the master again, with the " why " in its eyes, the old man didn't move, in his mind, he blame to himself why I miss the hit ", so, the dramatic part developed --- old man called upon little yellow again, the dog wondering, puzzle and carefully step in the door in mild temper, " this is the calling from master, there must be a reason , why ? " he approach to master little by little, the old man raise the hammer again ..... this is the base line Director want to deliver to his audience via the animation. this is very Chinese and very Human -- Object interactive. there will be 4 or 5 episode to tell the story, Director don't like the open ending in a way of quality concern, we are working on this interesting project:
1. the animation.
2. the merchandise coming from the animation.
3. the community it may build upon.
4. the communication tool and access product we may offer.
5. tools and platform equip for this initative.
Met with Antonio yesterday, he is concidering leaving the company and start his own, my advise to him is not seeking any parner in the industry he familiar with , but to identify product and service his have the talent to devlop and break; may team up with talent if they need something from his urgently as well, then this combination may bring down the cost and make the opeartion less risk, if need partner, find they in other industry which the complimentray role may exist , then the synergy effect may gradulatly devleoped.
surprised to see old colleages after the coffee with Antonio, 3 of them were jobless now -- temporarity or not, by their own will or not, but the message is " job market is tough these days ", I am lucky, learn new thing in new industry.
