yesterday's lunch with H. Han is average good. since KO terminate business, it leave only Bellini for us, temperory; the first greeting from Harold is : How many contract you signed recently, well, I can't reply with postive answer, so the air cool down, during the lunch, H. advise me that the success rate of visiting client should be reviewed and I should find a right approach to do marketing, according to my understanding, the Marketing means to sale my concept of product and service.
H. also asked me to carefully review our product offereing -- the service and product we have , and how to tailor to customers' need? yes, I know all about this, the problem is, to sell the concept before the product is difficult, it take longer than eveyone expect before you can really present any product. as Harold mentioned, market is giving, we should change, change to survive and he advise me to gain the commercial success first before csr goal. yes, I know, loud and clear, but how to change the current situation and drastically -- in his terms, change our business direction? this is something serious to be discussed with Celine.
the 90 minutes meeting with Stan is another classic, thanks to my lately learning, I am not easily to be shaked, so, one by one, I disclose the csr Coproratin with his entilty and Stan himself, culture marketing as the second new concept, Reibin's developing plan and talked a little bit about Eric - the sport marketing company his son establish and win a great reputation these days - due to Yankee pitcher Wang's success in the MLB. this is the conclusion I draw below:
1. csr is a tough road to climb, even Stan understand, so before the concept being well accepted, i can only be teated as a partner with no salary, on commision basis.
2. my involoved in Stan's new iniatiative won't cover my commitment to my own company and emoployee
3. promote csr community buisness should get the consensus from other partner in Stan's company.
4. to leverage Stan's reputation is OK, but the plan should be significant enoung.
5. culture marketing and promotion should integrate or cooperate with Eric - son of Stan sports marketing business.
6. Reibing project can be big or small, depending on the result.
ths conclusion limited imagination to cooporate with Stan, discuss with Celine this morning, she is so mad about it and asked me not to spend any energe on this anymore.

Wheel keep on rolling
I didn't expect the breakfast with A. will turn to another thinking point for me, returning to So-net? a good alternative for me at this moment of time, although this is only a gesture from A. I don't think it take place in a cross-platform discussion before. however, as this is a new stone in the troublem water, it may gave me another perspective toward what's ahead of me.
The conversation with Fruit's teach is a good one, I drafted the topics to be covered during the conversation, the first parent meet teach session for us. on my list of topics, the last one is by conduction such a conversation / interview, I would like to check the attitude, professionism, passion and willingness for Miss Shia, see if she is a teach we can corporate with and to joint the force of helping the parent ( us ) and Fruit ( the student ), we had a more than one hour discussion, she is quite helpful and the informatio she shared cool my brain, Fruit cover herself up in a good cammongrag, the first conclusion from teacher and parent is to help Fruit " not to tell lies " and to build the communication model for 3 of us.
lunch as a Thushu close-by country restaurant - Spring Vally, a good tasting local restaurant my wife very foud of,. this is the first time my wife put on her boot, we bought 2 pairs of new boots for her and she finally wear it.
I decided to take the Wed. off when finished our lunch. we went for the second run movies again, the " Break - up " is a very good movie, so realistic and it do reflect the wife - husband model for 21 centery, change is so difficult for everyone. Break-up just telling us the story.
" Banquest " is the other movie tail after break up, as we thought it is a copy cat after " Croching Tiger and Hidden Dragon ", we didn't went for the first run, but this is not a bad movie. the art is so impressive, I though the setting and decoration the movie did should be reused to set up restaurant or even move to some boquit hotle, the elegance of coloring and Chinese flavor deomostrate Mr. Yip's uniquness in the film industry. the script is not bad as well. hungry for power pursuing is the key message. human nature encoutering with love and hate, it textile this movie. even in the end, no one knows who kill the Lady King, ( Queen ), but we knew that's a symbol of " Power ", which will eat you brain, suck you mind and wipe your heart.
non stop eye moving, we don't really want to go home early, without my suggestion of watching TV series, wife won't be how by 7 pm, her relationship with my mother is getting worst, I should put it this way, she is more and more realized how to be herself, even not to please my mother, she should learn how to live happier in our family, my mother can be so selfish and caring for no body, but she can live happily by herself, so, what bother to bring more emotional load to us?
The answer to the TV series is 24 hours, this it by far the best TV movie I've even seen, so intense and so creative, how come the director and script writer think of a real time story and shooting in difference scene ( I guess there are at least 3 director working simotenesly in the filiming ) and how interesting to see the clocking base on real time counting in the advertisement also, this is humor and interesting.
we finished 4 episode the first ningt, we will continue another 4 episode today, after my meeting with Stan She.
H. Han support my return to So-net, as long as it will benefit csrCommunity, advise me when explain my plan to Stan, don't let him have the illusion of we are making moeny in CSR consulting but close the door for him, for M. Alliion's company, he advise me when doing business with foreigner, have everything in written and he reveal the story when nego with Pat via Matther to me. another good advice.
Learning from 007
I can't miss to go to 007 movie on the first day of screening, the Royal Casino, the new James Bond, I like it. this is the learning at my age of 46:
1. if the risk is high, mean the mistake we made will be short as well.
2, when play poker, you are not playing with your card, but with other players.
the second one inspired me, and recalled my memory to another movie " Cinderella Man'the learning is:
1. I want to be back to the boxing range, as least, I know who I am fighting with
2. the manger live in high class apartment even sold our all the furniture, he keep wearing good suit and be elegent.
Lunch
Being depressed for very long, last week, try to pick up the pieces and prepare the New Forum Retreat material, taking JWW's car to Chiao-shi, no one enjoy the hot spring, but value the session spending longer then before, time honor those who willing to share, this is a perfect example of give and take, I didn't talk much, but at the ciger break - a long break for male members, I listen and learn, from those who are younger than me, but climing higher than me. young talent see the world better than me, they are fighter a even firece world, but to surving the game, they must commit and contribute more.
weekend for family issue, my sister encountered with a family issue and stay at my house, she had the affair doubt with my brother in law for quite many times. she don't feel any respect and appreciation from her husband, well, to us, without obtaining information from both side, agreed most of my sister, since we do witness the behaviors of him , and the observation prove that he is not a person will think about others -- I mean faimly.
Fruit developed a very bad habit, showing no respect for her parent, dishonest is what we hate, but she didn't change her bad habit, when asked her to change bad behavior or habit, less than 10 minutes, she will come out with bad mouth slang, the terrible slang you won't belive coming from a girl, your daughter, we are so disappointed. last Sunday, when having lunch with the family and my sister, she burst out her emotion and challange us again, I made one mistake which is to tease her, this is my faught, I can't tease someone who don't have the DNA of humor in her, by the time she should leave for the school bus, without saying a word, without asking for my wife's assistant, she walked out the door by herself, we decided to follow her until saw her check in the school bus, we drove to the bus stop 20 minutes after she leave, when seeing her laughting out loud and playing around with her schoolmate, buying junk food at conviniecne store, without knowing parents' worry and concers, our hear broke, we called her teacher 3 times, finally , her teach response by 10 pm. I always doubt about the passive attitude of her teacher, since Fruit block our communication with her teacher, and never share her school life, examination score or difficuly in domitory, we are blind in her life now, whenever we tried to communicate, the pay off is fight or querrle, we need her teacher's help, but we don't have the confidence that this is a teach with passion and responsibility. at least, we make an appointment to see her at school tomorrow moring, if thing can't turn right, we decided to transfer her back to public school, and rent a house outside, to keep close eye on her and to prevent some of the misconducting happen to her.
Angkor Wok meeting with Bengo the 4th times, being in a transaction for too long, I don't have confidence to insist on my opinion, I don't know what went wrong, but I feel that next year will be my last year with YPO, you know, who don't have a platform for more than 2 years, no one will treat you as before, and I don't like this feeling, it will only give me more frustration. I am not the type of person, the morning session ended on time. then I joint another seesion in the evening, an Educationa Committe session, saw Diana in a much closer way, she is a nice girl, a celebrity but quite friendly to chat.
lunch with Sylvia an Sean - the couple friend of Celine then turn to be my fried also, I am surprised to know that C. didn't reveal her divorce with them, even today, when the first hello is asking about her husband and when to have the first baby, her face turn red, the idea of team up Sean and heading for the " Public Coach " business direction may suit my style, I don't know, need to find a better time for digesting.
Y. send an mail for breakfast tomorrow, So-net old friend's greeting,,, I am not holding too much illusion, grown up for past 11 months. today, we find out that lack of sales , we can move nowhere, the role play and responsibity will keep we moving no where. identify a few names to be our free lance sales rep. hopefully, it will lead us to a better connection.
wife don't have good mood for a very long time, try to please her , back home early and brought her to the second run movie, Brian De Palmer is a great director, I love his style of directing since highschool, his work never let me know.
Should be good night tonight, tried very hard to bring back normal life, this morning, do my first exercise in 2 months, swimming at Regent, woke up and leave wife in bad, if woke her up and wait for her to drive me, my energy will gone, I am glad I did it. it a hard way.
So much what before to do
I gathered so much What to do before to do these day, I can only summerize before analysis:
1. Family : how to bring back Fruit, keep sister away and have Sound stay cool and secure at Forest school
2. career : how to set the step of rescure my career and regain the confidence
3. Family financial securiety : how to set the fininal turn around plan for the family and keep my wife refrain from the fear of everything.
4. CSR community : how to alter the business model and to find the solution ? a breakthrough thinking ? and to get throught the bottle neck?
5. Me : how to sustain my stay at YPO without look down to myself? how to get rid of the developing unhealthy habit ? how to regain the exercise routine? how to keep fit and eat less meal ? in short , how to be despline again?
this is a geat challeng ahead, no way to hide and no way to escape.
