A gift or another Gift

the cold call from Steven K. on Friday morning put me in a mistery, I just finished the great dry noodle with my wife at the traditonal noodle shop - located in Shao-Nan-Meng, where we enjoy it for decades - a restaurant to remark where we rescure Dicky back to 20 years ago.

Before jumping into the elavator, S. call and asked me to meet with Wu-shung in the afternoon. I managed to put it for 30 minutes, it will give me enough time when finishing my judge duty at the Financial Institution - I was invited to be the judge for an industry which I am not familar with. thanks to Luis Chen - Chairman of PTS.

Quick lunch with H. Han, I was suppose to raise the topic of convincing Mr. Hochen to join Himalaya Foundation once he release from the Chairmanship of CHT, however, Mr. Han stop my intention, he told me the postion and authority Mr. Hochen captured is much stronger than we can image, he should have opportunity other than our offering, we should not sent this message to increase his trouble, such and understand person. I told him about the no show - no call reaction from aj yesterday, he was surprised about this and slight touch upon what he know about aj - a man count the beans very carefully. well, then I should have the answer.

To my surprise is his frank opinion about Ben , this reflect to a very truth of mangement, you must establish direct relationship with a person before judge on his or her capability. Ben wasn't fit to his standard of " Quality " although they've been together for 15 years, an executive beween them do create a distance of Beauty and imagination....

The Magic Box opened by 3 pm at the unin headquarter, Wu-Shung and S. and Mr. Huang together told me a very interesting story, Wu is standing at the cross road right now, with a listing company to Hold or to Throw. from the recommendation of S. I was among all the candidate to be the person to run and take over this badly hurt listing company, the conclusion from their viewpoint were a triple win solution : find a trusthworthy person to run new business, terminate the burdon and old history, and provide me a brand new futher with a shell of listing company, no one should ignor this invitation, I had a good converston with them and discuss with my wife, I think I should take it now, a chance which totally different from aj / St. Shui's .

wisdom of Mr. Han

having lunch with M.Han today, I was impressed by his honest expression of how a Foundation must go through, and the lesson he paid for the past decade. aj called to interrupt our conversation, return to table, I share with him the Fon situation and how I am suffering in between, he gave me a few mental medicine:
in Chinese : 君子絕非,不出惡言; the other Western Saying is : the best revenge is to living well. yes, I have no hate, no complain and treat is as a great way to learn and to grow.

Ta Ya proposal

the simple line on the book cover change the way I present the proposal - the secret of consultant mentions 3 prinspal to be followed. first is : Every company has problem, second, the client pay you by the hours rate, not the lungsome of solving their problem.

To think like a business executive - how coma I didn't realize the golden rule few months ago and stick to a CSR Preaching journey, what I told people what to do and not to do should be carry by NPO or NGO. So , yesterday, a paradigm shift, I simply use CSR as a tool ( a not very respect terms, I should decorate with some flower, such as strategy ) to enhance the profit for corporation and as the same time, buy some hudge fund for future risk. it works, Ryane is not a simply minded person, from what I see him, he will eat you up if you don't have a groud for rationale.

combination work with Celine is another good approach, advise her from now on, the presentation job should go to her, as I am the chairman of the company, should be a room for negociation, supplyment or support, the cursion is for a better position in getting the deal. I am no sure if she fully aware of my intention, this is not only a " Your job " but a way to force her thinking about independency - with or without me. I can be a super sales, to introduce the client, joint the pitch, but to get the deal done and to follow with action should be her responsiblity. she can't always hiding behind me, just like Lee Chuang Long - the customer who we going to meet next week, hind behind the government and police and ignoring the stakeholders' dialoge is much important to fullfill his responsibilty.

A few points really get Rayne's heart :
1. his Green Cable idea matching with my suggestion of deveoping in re-house market - as a premium provide by the re-house company - a brand new market with brand insallation and placement.
2. Student exchange program between Taiani and Huchinmin city children to distinglish the new Taiwan son and the culture identity issue.
3. Foundation sturcture to ear his tax credit and to ampfly the non-business branding campaign and even to focus on " Electric Safty "
4. Revamp of the webside to be the portal for the corporation and to feature with 3 lauguage - Chinese / English and Vianeaness
5. Community engagement and investment : to tie up with Room To Read, the library / primary school event will top the brand name to iNPO - no one did it before.

I gain back a strong confidence as I am aware that there are true need from the leader of the corporation. this is a great day to me.

Hochen visit M. Han, I was honored for too many time, Lulu was doing too much, the over statement turn to irrlevent, Mr. Change was a red guard to push CHT . Mr. Han value my propositon in the conversation, I was flattered and know a lot to be done.

H.Han said : In Mr. Hochen and Lulu's mind, I have a very important positon . I should keep it in mind.

Celine warning me that I am different from the YPOer who were born with sliver spoon, she was wondering whehere the straight forward advise hurt my feeling or not, defenetely not, I know we are different, but there's no good and bad, we are only different.
