from one of the YPOer who published this book with the title " Beyond Success ", I finished 50 pages in Subway and Starbucks. the interesting finding is a huge - 4 trillion dollors of money will be transfered in next 20 years, as year 2006 mark the first yeart Baby Boomer turn 60th, and new wealth had his creative way to deal with one's fortune. so, to help family business or second generation plan their money will be a innovative business - in the western world or developing world, in Asia or Taiwan, it seems a long way to go.

Yesterday Once More
to continue what's not yet done from blogging, Lunch with Joe is a promise to slove / smoothe his hard feeling when he knew I am leaving PMC, Joe is what I hand pick to be my assistant at the first place, with no hesitation, he drop what's on hand and move to my side, we don't know each other much, however, the chemistry keep us tight, I choose the restarant - the pork chop restaurant nearby PMC, this is exactly the restaurant we had lunch and I invited him to join me at PMC, a sore of returning to the original point, circling around and we end up eating at the same restaurant. Joe shared with me the cold face he sense from Soh when he decided to leave after learning my depart from PMC, maybe he is too sensetive, but if this is true, then, I knew the person a little bit more. I asked if he can stayed for 2 more weeks for the project transatiion, under the request of Soh, Joe is too smart to react, if he still be needed, so, I leave him to a open answer, depending on how Soh response to the revise regination application.
Sound's parent day is a good one, wife wearing her booth, one of her dream which been fulfilled last year, dressing up for her son, we arrived by Forest Shool and welcoming by 7 barking dogs, it is not a very friendly welcome, back to 3 years ago, I was bited by one of them and taking a shot at National Taiwan Hospital then, so, I had a scent of dog - scare, Ching Lan help with moving dogs away. Chu Chu is like a good fortune teller, who predict that Sound will significantly improve after 3 years in the school, this prediciton was made on our first Parent day with the school. today, the magic do happen, Sound turn to a mature, understaing, grow up young boy, this is the right place for SOUND to grow and learn, and magically, to change and discover his talent inside. a great improvement for all.
EMBA IB alumni gathering the 3rd time last night, CC is a great host, he had send out invitation mail, message alert for so many times, we hardly can remember how may mails I received, not only the mail, but the content he wrote, so humours , the ONLY thing left is a personal greeting, for the past month when he worked on communciate with attendee ( the show up is 8, which is great ) for so many electronic communication way, we don't heard a human touch -such as Hello from him, maybe this is the change to win some.. The restaurat he picked is OK - with topic but not for a great food, the gimmic is how to knock the door, the Ren-Chen restaurt chain design his style by creation, how to enter the front door is the key design, all black ambience is another one, toilet setting it the third one, the after meal lounge is the fouth one.

Vincent, Hochen and Me
after the pass away of Vincent's father, we finally get to see each other this morning at me and Hochen's old place - Cafe' at Howard Plaza Hotel Shin Shen South Road. the conversation mainly exchange idea of how a labor movement leader think and how to build the consensus in between, the answer is : there's no way for a boss to walk hand in hand with unin leader, it will create enormouns pressure for the man who stand in front of all the labor force. a simply conclusion was made : to set a higher goal for both leader, to create a public-driven, for all good will forum and activity among all the industry, this is a temporory relief for a good leader like Hochen.
A mix day
woke up by 6:20 am, the inner force me to climbing up today, so I did it, round - trip for 45 minutes, reflesh and recharging my ear of iPod -- preparing my presentation file for Stan, the project have been dragged for more than 9 months. yes, we are not in performance, not in action, not engaged in prograssing.
Celine prepare 2 more person to rich our meeting : Ariel Gi - a art from advertising company, Joey from ICT feild who have a heart for emerging market. when they conduct their presentation this morning, I am so nervouse, because they are not precising express the need from our customer - yes, Ariel excuse for his 10 minutes to present to Stan, actually, he spend 30 minutes, and use up 20 minutes for his own design and credit , he use the " I " statement for so many times, well, maybe I am too sensitative. Joey's presentation is not sync in one line , maybe this due to I am the person who produce this presentation material, however, she makes no point in communicating with Stan, my supplyment help everyone in the meeting to realize what's going on.. after the meeting, 2 conclusion were made, finally, we have 2 action to take and Celine win her triumph with her way of solution problem : Eliminat, Make it big, or Bring it down, today, her strategy imply is " Make it Big "
Lunch is a gathering with Mr. Han and Mr. Chang, however, Mr. Change withdraw at the last minute, Mr. Han can't figure it out why this information didn't relay to him directly. 8 of us had a great lunch at GiPing Cantonses Restaurant, a great gourment cuisine. we enjoy it so much.
During the lunch, wife called and inform me that " Wenko " was put in custody when aggregation by the prosecution office last night, a friend of mine and my role model in certain way, Wenko is a icon in VC field and had the nickname of " Godfather of VC in Taiwan ", the reason for put in custody is " Insider Trade ", I feel bad about him and don't have a crew why it happen.

The Dream
I slept on bad and wouldn't got up for mountain climbing, which is a commitment to myself after the movie " Peaceful Worrier ", during the 90 minutes sweet sleep, it comes a dream , another vivid situation occured to me, now I am going to describe it below:
The location is somewhere in Chung Shan North Road session one, in a drug store - more like a Taiwanses design shop, I walked in and chat with the junior owner - a young lady so to speak, then her friend came in and join our conservation about the shop and it's display goods, I asked what is the specility in this shop? there comes the 3rd perosn answered me, she is the senior lady, the owner for this special shop, she point me to 2 breads, no Pineapple cake which have been identified as Taiwan Cookie, so, with the ower's recommendation, I bought one of the bread, then the owner show me to another demonstration space - a larger collection of Taiwanese flavor collection, some are in a design approach, some are with traditional local flavor, then our conversation lead to a new plaform - it seems my memory of the dreams claspe somewhere, what connect our conversation if from my interesting question: When I can be your son-in-law ", Whooh, I am going to married her daugher, the young lady owner, the response from the old lady owner is witty, she replied : Whenever you think it's ready, then the flim flipped to a outdoor mellow, I didn't knew the back door garden is a huge land with grass on top of the it, so beautiful, it must be costly to have this land in such a good spot, looking on the right top, I saw a temple-shape like building , on top of the building, I saw a working Marry-Go-Round, amazing, young lady owner told me, the amusement park is in fuction everyday, and it attract lots of tourist from other counties to their shop and garden; then I saw some forieigner, some Japanese and some Europens. this is nothing special.
Suddenly, 3 eagles fly down to the mellow and so near to where we stand, it is not offen to see 3 eagles flying so low and flew together, then the eagles retuned, to everyone's surprise, we saw a middle ages man pull out on stick ( it's a hammer , but I can't see cleare it was made by which material ) and hamming to one of the eagle, one drop to the land with feather all over the place, this is unbelivalbe, why this man want to do this? why don't him just walked away like most of us did? then the ramining 2 eagles fly back, with a raiding postion, shooting to the man like a bullet, one eagle pick one arm of the rude man, I heard the screaming from the man, then saw 2 chop-off arms with blood on the ground, this is so terrible, someone is calling the ambulance, and what did I do ? I am looking for my camera phones, I want to take pickture of this moment of anything, I shoot the arms, the blood. and I wake up....
And this morning, I told Soh-san that I will pay the balance of the one month compensation to Alice, he said nothing about it, and I told him that my last day in PMC will be 31th of Oct. and disclose Joe's decision as well. I don't think this is a shock to him, as he should aware of the situation devleoped when inform his unsatifaction about Alice -- The person who I wish to be the bridge to us, turn out to the the doube eage swords - it hurts 3 parties. I told him I will be happay to be retained as consultant for the 2 projects - Merge and sock projection.
Eva came to my PMC office to express her uncomfortable feeling toward what Alice talk behind her, the reputation ruinned make her so upset, I don't know what happened, but only stop here, as wife told me, to stop spreading this bad mouth. Why? I will pay her 115,000 and call it an end to my relationship with Alice. she is not think on behalf of others. really. not because of the bad mouth, but for many other things I discoverd.

Celine arranged a lunch with Joey Tang - quiet an interest person, the 2 hours lunch is for the researsal for meeting with Stan tomorrow morning, the last and final message I can digest is to embrance the ideas from she and to support whatever program coming out and to make believe Raybin can carry the message as huge as Bono did..
on the taxi to CHT, drinking the papaya / milk , the taxi driver complained about a violetion of traffic law case, it happend more than one year, and the gesture in his mind and in his car for so long. a 900 NT penality make him such an unhappy person for so long, and he couldn't get rid of it until now, probabely told his story to every guests on board. so intersting.
Kao Gen for a day
today, soh brough his Japanese friend Kao to visit Taiwan, for his amazing stock projection system, I use my network introuce him to Capital Security and SYSTEX, 2 of my YPO fellow members, it's good to have friend in a relatively itimacy way, George not only show up for the discussion session, but also host the lunch at RED BEAN Shanghainess Restaurant for us. Hilo invited his key management team to join the briefing and walking us down the elevator, I am not saying networking means anything to me, and not going to leave strong impression to anyone, but to complete my duty for the last week in PMC, I have no regret about my decision, as long as I recalled what happened in past months, Soh don't need a man, or a brain, but 2 hands and feet to complete his order, he will and should take all the responsibility for PMC, and to prove his musule to the market by his won, I can't and won't be part of the game, this is totally not worthy.
Andrew send everybody mail about his returning to corporate - to Black Stone, the sign was there a few months back, a corporated trained professional maanger can only survive in the warm water - not to cold and not to hot, I am not in line with everything, but I am not feeling of retruning to any corporate. I want to do more, rather then think more, or spending time in complaining or regreating on decisions made before.
Alice will leave by Sat. I asked her not to feel bad about taking balance money from me, as I do have reponsibilty in her leaving and recruting, even thourgh I fully understand what happened, it will also end my reponsibilty to her anyway. but I will clearly let PMC / Soh knows I am paying for their inresponsiblity, a head without shoulder, how to convice people to work for you, even die for you. this is at least what I will secure for Alice and to complete my duty as a respected person.
Share with Joe my decision, remaining the same, but simply to reply to his " If I am no longer in management position, do I need him still ? " my answer to him is : up to his willingness to serve this company and people here. Joe said : does it mean he need to find him job now, I returned with a smile only, a firm and postive smile to him
Chen Tien Zen Monetary
Sending Fruit to her school early this morning, she apology expressed on Friday night, but she broke it in 2 days, thanks God that I don't want her to the vow of " This is the last time I mad about my parent ", it's close to 8 in the morning, since I had an oral commitment to visit Chen Tien, so I asked wife if we may pay this visit?
She was upset about my didn't pay the parking lot ticktes in the first place, so show me a big poker face, she own me a good reason and apology, however, she walked away with Sound, it raised my temper, I walked down the hill and willing to return to Taipie from Tu-Cheng myself, maybe this is all due to fate, she accompaned with Sound down the hill, looking for toilent, and I followed behide her and asked for a big Sorry, so. finally, we make it up and walked hand in hand to the monetary.

Walking dow the hill, I propose to close to people, so, I make the suggestion for a shopping mall day trip, no perticular reason, simply to provide Sound a cause for playing at the amusement park and maybe enjoy meal over there, We lost the first time and finally get ourselve to the Global Mall by 11:30 am, having curry for lunch at one of my favorite curry restaurnt " Passion for Curry ", then I made another suggesting, why not go to the movie after lunch? well, I win the vote again and decided to go the Ambassdor cimena complex on the same floor of the restaurant, we choose ( indeed, it's me ) Stardust - a movie we don't have any idea about, it turn out to be a great movie we ever been, family entertaining, with action and romance, special effect and great characters, we love it so much and complian nothing but the movie title, this is not sexy at all ( well, I guess this must be brought by the original novel or animation books ), then follow with the playgroud tour, me and Sound, I accompany him to the playgroud, we spend 260 NT there and learn 2 things : How the amusement park design program for you to spend more money - puzzle, lucky draw and the point tickets, and the seocnd is the behavior of Sound, when we reach the point of not enough coins for the game, he will instictly approch the betting machine and bet for more coins, this pattern developed with a routine, I can see how gambling will test the nature of every human being.

we decided to close our shopping mall tour after dinner, so Friday become our choose, Sound didn't join us to any Friday restaurant before, which means we ( me and my wife ) didn't taste the American Food for more then 10 years, we checked in this Friday restaruant located at Global Mall, is said to be the 5516 global chains, can you image how many beef / potato / soft drink were consumed per day in the world, then scale it up 50 times -- this is MacDonald. to be honest, all of us enjoy the food so much, I had a Hamburg, they order the BBQ rib and the baken potato, Sound love this restaurant, we didn't stay for too long, and I didn't carry my original plan of reading outside.
The week begin will be my last offical week in PMC, be patient, be easy and be responsible. moment of truth will come when you look everything in detial, in caring mentality and in listening to your heart.
my Ipod touch finally works for me, input 300 songs, the random playlist keep our car in a good mood. yes, I try every new toy already. remenber to live a simply yet happy life now. no starting and no ending, jsut in it and reacting.
