Pick up my rack for the ping pong exercise last night, it's been more than 3 weeks since my last sweating with team mates; arrived on time. 7:30 pm, when sharing with them my resignation message, no surprise, but surprisely, Sam inform that they have a plan for me just now, before the exercise, they discussed internally without my presence and figuring our my position in a virtural company; indeed, I will be the soul of the company, now, my resignation become an reality to them, they are exciting to share the project with me, we set a Sat. lunch to go over it. so, I may be of use then.
with my insurance loan, I claimed 1.7 millions from the bank for the capital increase; M. helped a lot, before lunch, I managed to do the welcome letter to new parners for Side project and Lichun, I am happy to see the good development.
Lunch with Lu is another surprise, she represent the foundation which I wish to approch; it match the theme of Lichun " Helping those who helps others ", we may entering a consultaning contract with the foundation for appromixtly 1.5 m for the first year, we had a silent agreement to jointly identify industry to develop, I am so happy to see this giant development. D. call and commite the wire will be done by Mid -Jan and the total amount will be 220,000 Malay, this is another Key stone for me.
afternoon at office, Doing the presentaion document for Lichun, I should seperate Side project and Lichun, to hightlight and position Lichun as my way of convincing the world, but to conduct side project commercial business to " Service " a few client I have personal attachement, this is a mature strategy to let the world know why and where I am heading to.
A. is in a very business attitude, challenge a few things, I don't mind. to skip the new board member welcome dinner ( I am not in the position to celebrate with them - Thanks for my wife's advise ) but to offer them a bottle of good white wine.
Celebrate the good news by eating at night market, this is how we are going to do it in the future. feel like seeing old friend at Bali - will do it next week. to tell him my new direction. good night. the night before my last 2 days as CEO.

The first few days of announcement
The story began by 10: 45 am on Monday, when I assemble all the mangers to the conference room, and told them the STORY, it's been a while since I share story with wisdom with them; I began with the unique experience I embrassed duing Christam Eve at Wutai; the expected twinking neon wasn't shining, the black out casue me to tilt and look at the sky, the discovered of hundread of stars above me take my breath away, the breathless experience gave me a new insight - You can only find the brightes star when in the dark; then I express to all the audience my resignation and the approval by the Board on the 21th. I can sense there's shock at the conference room , but I have to finish it quick and walked out the room without answering any question.
By 3:00 pm, Chairman S. sign-off the assignment for K. as new CEO and set the on board day on Jan. 1st. there's a shadow in his heart, keep distance from me, seems like I will beat him up? this is really S.'s problem. the announcment of new CEO made by 4:30 pm, and my farewell letter to all send out in 5 minutes.
There's no so called Domino effect as HR and Finance head's leaving wasn't a surprise to everyone. I leave the office for meeting with my second bid project and arrived home with wife. we went for the ZORO 2, watching movie is simply for removing my sad feeling, no matter how you you prepare for the leave, there will be sadness somehow.
Tue. morning with C. her resignation confirmed and I shared with her the share and capital structure of our company, coincedently, met wtih Hochen at the same restaurant, a secret garden of our own now been occupied, well, it doesn't matter, this is the great chace to introduce my partner with him, he then realized my join his company may take longer then he thought. D. called and confirm my second safety net, I am quite happy and touched. it gave me a good key stone again.
Heading for the Law / Accounting firm to set up my own company - Lichuan Society. I've come up with a line to give birth the meaning of the comapany " We help those who help others ", sound good , isn't it? lunch with M. and started to arrange additional 1 millions mortagage for capital increase. everything in line.
Calling J. to confirm the discussion about my proposal, we met 6:30 pm at Regent, he review the proposal and showing an unstable gesture, then we begin with a few encounter of debating, gradually, I can sense this is not what he wants and I tried to get his feeling and to paraphasing after his expression; I really learns and it gave me a totally new experience of conducting a consulting sales; he spent 2 hours with me and straight to every thing, I reallly apprecaite his honest and willing to let me know " How to deal with a listing company's CEO ", things such as:
1. Consultant can't take the challeng of consult corporate culture, as it must be internalized and if the outside consultant wish to change it, it will leave a symbolic meaning of waiving all the heritage and tradition coming down from the company.
2. There are some mission only can be done and perform internally, some can be co-op, and some are so unique that acqurie speciality to handle, the the last area will be the value this consultant can bring.
3. Consultant can't be too naive to try to handle everything, he can't skelton the sturcture of the company and ask information from the company, it will be treated like an education process instead of a value creating.
4. To get the contract, must be a upside down parimid, a project by project built up, this is to convince the CFO of the company the expense make sense.
5. If the value the consautant provide is not significant enought, it's hard for the corporation to reach the pocket.
I learnt and appreciate the rehearsal and free for my own learning. this is definetely not a frustration, but a real world experice, now I know how to pitch Senyi on Friday and realize my business plan / income forecast must revised again.
Every thing is so real.
Silent Night at Wutai village
I fullfil one of my dream this year, to bring my family ( Fruit not counted ) to Wutai for Christmas, a dream I made on Jan. when I first visit this Shangerila in Sourthern Taiwan. the first visit was right after Chrismas, the tall Christmas tree and colorful decoration were hanging still, I can feel the all Christian village should be a great place to be during Christmas Eve, so I booked Tuku's art house 6 months ago.
We were escorted by Mr. Bao - a gentelman who I met at the Golden Melody Award, and I found he was from Wutain as well, a native Lukai tribe; so with his help and previlage, when landing at Kaoshung airport, he came and pick up us to the Wutai village.
the road to Watai was destored by this summer, especially when the typhoon Hai Tung hit southern Taiwan, the road broken to pieces and the falling rock and mud stone block the road, Central government ignor the situation and delay the recovery of the connecting road, the village was totally islolated for almost 6 months, no tourist and no business at all. we were so lucky, the road was back to normal ( semi-normal , so to speak ) 2 days before our arrived. we arrived on the 24th of Dec. - the Christmas Eve.
after the delicious lunch with Mr. Bao, we checked in Tuku's house and see her artistic son again, then I brough my family to a Art Street stroll, to my surprise, there isn't any street handicraft anymore. we run into a artsit who is curving the river stone, paining color on to them , drill a hole and placing lace, it sold between 50 to 150 NT only, I asked what happened, he told us the typhoon swipt almost all the living of the village people, no tourist means no income, so, all the young and workable move down to city to make a living. accoring to his expression, it will take 1.2 billions NT to repair all the damage road, they don't think the Chen Shui Bai administration will do so as the aborignal vote for him is minority.
Finally, the night comes, we see the neon and dressing lights eveywhere in the village, but it last for only 10 minutes, then it's black out - the electricy system cause some problem , half of the village were in the dark - it covered the house we are staying, we can't shower in the lights. but when tilt to the sky, I saw the most vivid stars in my life, they are so near and it twinking and shinging over our head, Thanks for the darkness, the stars shins bringer than ever, and we are so lucky to find the starry night of Christmas Eve.
4 o'clock in the morning, the sincere Christians singing all the Chirsmas song in the garden of our staying house, I woke and be invited to the Church ceremory beginning by 4:30 am, put on my heavy coat, without brush my teech or wash my face, I walked into the just finished Church, sitting on the first 10 row , surronding by all the tribes, most of them ar Lukai and Paiwai, Decon and Priest conduct the long Chrismas ceremory, they speak the native language which I can't understand, however, the ambience was so touching, I am not sleepy anymore, preying and listing to all the good word together with them, I sit for 2 and half hours there, and I thinks this is a very cherish moment in my life, I simply gain one of my unique experience, an experience hard to forget, I even think I should be there every Christmas.
Visiting the Aboriginal Culture Park from 1030, as Mr. Bao is in charge of the music and performance section, I sit in 2 session and have lunch with a few of the performers, they are reletively higher in education and social quality, but mingul with non-aborignal for too long, they are afriad of forget all the heritage and culture. in Taiwan, there are 12 tribe speaks morn than 100 diffierent tribe language, between tribes, its hard to communicate each other, to my surprise, why all 12 tribe under one religious umbrella - The Christian ?
The park is a nice place to be, it was established 20 years ago, but this is my first time visit , I love it and to quote what my wife say : I must had the DNA of tribe.
Bought 18 different pained stone sourvier for managers who sit on the managers' meeting. as tomorrow will be the day of my internal announce, I don't want to turn it too semtimental, but a samll token as memories is what I want to do.
