Dinner with old friend Yu at the famous Sharks' Fin restaurant, old friends brings good feeling, he is one of the entertainment tycoon, the first and most successful concert promoter in Taiwan, we've known each other for more than 10 years, regular meet and talk in the entertainment years wasn’t something new, to keep the relationship when I move on to new industry shows our strong attachment to each other.
He devoted himself to God for more than a year, he was a Christian , but never sincerely involved in Christianity activity or allocate his time reading Bible, it happened on last Chinese New year, he found himself embraced by God again when reading Bible, and he changed, dramatically, purely totally, kept himself in a very quite place -- physically and mentally, only a few friend get in touch with him, I am one of them, by inviting him out for meal, I can feel the power of God on him is so significant, he changed totally, whenever we met, half of our time will spend on how God guild him and at the same time, he educate me the meaning derived from his finding , I listen and observe, listen to his sincerely and watch how he tried to lean me to the door; I appreciate his effort, but for religion, I am not ready yet, I have no objection to any religion and have no preference to any of them; seeing my old friend grow with God and finding his meaning of live is one thing, his change and commitment may keep distance to some of his friend, who don't really understand why he changed.
Yu told me a secret again -- I am the person who share his secret always, this time, he told me, I know if I disclose secret to you, the secret will no longer be a secret, but, anyway, you are the one I want to sharing, sharing everything;....
Dinner at STK was great, I can't resist on the desire, presentation and taste were perfected combined, 3 hours, never enough for us, we can talk and talk, I can listen and listen.

Coming all the way to Kaochung for the direct shops meeting. This is the first time I attend this sales-in-charge conference. We operate the shops for the purpose of acquisition – getting subscriber via the physical shops, a very unique channel happening in Taiwan. Since telecom / mobile business booming in Taiwan, over the counter for signing up service became the “ logic “ way to sale this intangible services. It gradually developed and traveling all over the market, if you want to doing telecom business, you need to have your physical channel.
Open shops for service acquisition isn’t cost effective, so, we expended with our HW company to sell the solution with tangible product, and letting the shops carry different mission – selling products other than pure Access services.
As an important channel, we grow the number of shops to 24, all the shop mangers gather together for the “ sales target setting “ “ sale skill improvement “ and “ policy introduction “; I took the early flight out and bought the interesting book “ QBQ” at the airport book store, I read it through during the flight and ready inspired by this simply but clear book, Thank God I read it before attending this meeting, my body and soul told me how to listen carefully and don’t take a defense toward our lovely sales force.
I memorized the spirit of the book : use “ What “ and “ How to “, avoiding the “ Who “ When “ and ‘ Why “, putting “ Me “ in the phase and don’t forget to take action upon it., I enjoy reading is so much – it took me less than a hours and it change me, or I shall put it this way – I changed myself ( this is how the book addressed )
During the lunch break, I sat with southern shop managers’ table, learning how they live, knowing where they live and keep a curiosity with me, I don’t need to develop untruth conversation with them, I respect the finding from the book “ looking through the person, but like them still “, how to look thing from the other corner and appreciate the differences we have, what a great finding, this is what I want to share, to preach and to live upon.
It’s a long meeting, I arrange a after meeting dinner for a few of them, a courtesy and gratitude to the best performing areas, postpone to one hours, I shall not be mad, this is the meeting they owned, I am a guess and observer.
When the recognition session take place in the meeting, I suggested the worst performing shop manager present the award to the best performing ones, what I do this, because they have a role model in front of them, to present this prestige, presenter will make up his / her mind that I should be the one to receive it, and the receive simply share his or her power of will to the presenter, it comes to my mind in a flesh, I did it immediately.
Sales team do have a lot of questions, the question are all looks alike, handling the objection isn’t a good method, but sophisticate manager knows how to response to it instinct.
Too much celebration for the “milestones “, I should not forget the Dell’s lesion. Be direct have a few principal, one is my favored “ No Victory Lapse “, this is so good, but in the end what’s fun to enjoy the achievement ? I have a doubt now.
Michael Angelo concert in Taipei, well, this isn't an official concert, Michael bring his guitars ( include the famous " Bad Boy " ) and jam with the backing music ( minus one ) in the new opened venue " The Wall ", I shall be the eldest audience in the venue, preparing to go 2 weeks ago, when accidentally seeing the concert poster in front of the venue ,, that's when I went to the movie, the venue is at the basement of the cinema complex.
Speeding guitar solo and riff is my favorable ' noise ' since I become the rock fan , I don't play any musical instrument, but do appreciate the skilled musicians; Michael on stage alone , but her technique is so amazing, speedy with his trademark -- the butterfly left hand. when playing with his BAD BOY, audience went crazy, how can a man playing guitar this way ? I stayed there for 2 hours, the extra benefit is the organizer / promoter is an old aquatint, when saw me in the entrance, he is kind of surprised, but show his passion again, I didn't expect that he will come in and give me set of Michael's albums - 5 CD and 2 DVD, the gift is a pay off for man like to join this gig with young and coming rebels.
Dinner with Ray, son of my junior high teacher who is a little emigrate and now going back to handle business in Greater China; he is a very mature person and we do had a great time in New Hama; during the conversation, we exchange idea of how the new broadband service will take off and how the ' out of box " development will chang everything; Chef Shu - a hard core "Pan-Blue " person, who don't mind the political preference of his guess, and directly probe his " instinct finding " about the President gun shot; some of the guests joint his conversation; well, I don't know, maybe I am too conservative thus didn't show my feeling to them.
Saturday morning, the ping pong party wasn't arranged, so I stay home and watch the ' G3 in Denver " convert DVD, Joe is as attractive as before, Steve is as smart as usual, Yemin gain a lot of fat --- this is not quiet acceptable if you going to be a " Guitar hero " -- long hair, leather jacket, low-waist pant and work out body -- no fat around your belly, this is cause unhappy experience when rock on stage, 3 of there have great technique, electric guitar is the " sound ' than turn me on and fly me somewhere out of the world; I haven’t yet decided attending the Michael Angelo concert tonight or not, it's been a while for my to attend the " young concert ", but I did buy 2 tickets for " Jeff / Sky " concert in Taipei, it is scheduled on the 29th.
Wife decided to bring Fruit to one of her favorite buffet as a " good intention " to rebuild the relationship, my wife said Fruit's bias may cause by my parent, who had the only son in the family ( Me ) and so our family may exist the sex discrimination and made Fruit’s behavior abnormal -- I don't exactly know but wish the mother and daughter can live happily, I really don't want to see my wife yell to Fruit first thing in the morning and shout at her as the end of day, this is not healthy at all. we were there -- 3 of us by 2:00 pm for the high tea , so many people, ate until 4:30 -- we do have a harmony afternoon .
weekend movie is " Hellboy " another movie adapted from Comic book, maybe I read " Wired " article before the movie, so, have some expectation about it, it's a good one, red-skin and horn fit this character.
watching TV and know the 410 gathering in front of Presidential Palace wasn’t a peace ending, in the late evening, it turn out to be a riot and rest, I feel so bad when watching live in a small restaurant, this definitely do no good for Taiwan, the break up is a ' for sure " fortune.
Henry Lee came back for the president gun shot investigation, he wins a lot of appraisal, the day before, we watch the live broadcasting for his criminal scene re-construction work in Tainai, he is so into his specialty and working 22 hours a day to examine this important and complicate case.
I am not in the mood to write thesis today, bad inside, sunshine outside, would like to go out. and out
