New faces last night
New Forum meeting held last night, although I wish to make it my last participation, howeve, the itimacy is too high to inform everyone my decison. dinner at Misunu restaurant, long talbe restrict me to annouce my decision, so, I keep it to me until end of the session.
this is a young forum, members so junior to YPO and they are relatively young in age. the fist mix gender forum in Taipei. I enjoy listing, carefully listening gave me great lesson, no one is simple mind, professional manages share the constrain in corporation, entreprunures fighting with comepetition - in and out of the business, those who heritage fortune and business from family ,try very hard to strike a balance, the life-work balance is a long debating one.
propose our service to THSR this afternoon, VP didn't attend the meeting, always last minutes emergency in big corporation to cancel the appointment, I used to do that before when in Sony - " Can Say No " is a previliage in corporation, and now it bouce back to me, I don't have hard feeling, but to take it naturally, present it in front of 2 junior staff in THSR, I am not sure if they can make any decions, but we learned that there are competitions in the same pool, is it good or bad, can we make moeny selling the consulting product ? or do we quoate our price too low? we don't have a crue to caculate , this is new to everyone.
the premeeting wieh BCSD yesterday for the final check for CHT csr consultation proposal, Mr. Chang started a joke in front of meeting attendee, it make me very embarransing, he said to all the participant that I am very rich, rich enoung to devote myself to CSR, a field that is no margin to earn. this is a bad feeling to me, Mr. Chang did a a couple times before, when present the first proposl to CHT at CHT haead quarter, he event said to more than 20 outsider that I am a " Genius ", this is so craze.
deliver our final proposal to LCY - RC ( responsible care ) on Wednesday, bowei is a smart business man, the more I have an indepth conversation with him, the more I aware his success in business is no luck at all. he do have opinion, independent thinking and determination in conducting business, we've spending too much time on this subject which become a non value added activity to our business. we call it a last strike.

Begin of the search
Inviting Celine for lunch, it's been a while since our lunch alone. too much business kept us seperate and kept us refrain from disussing important issues, such as company financing and my decesion to move forward. I decided to eat at the Deep Fry Rib restaurant, it's been renovated a few weeks ago, Celine is suprised to see I am choose a not healthy restaurant. she didn't know that I stop exercise for many months.
on the way to restaurat, a few block from our office, I asked if she sleep well these days. because seeing her sending mail in very early morning, I mean 3 or 4 in the morning, she told me that her sleep quality wasn't good these days, she dream about Working for so many times, I told her this is the sympton of stress, she is kind of accepting it.
At the lunch, I honsetly told her that I decided to go to China and finding recuriter to help placing me. to take action is what I want to disclosed and to get her understanding and support is the purpose, she is so kind. simply relay with a unbreakable logic -- we were friends before business partner. and will be friend for goods. I value her honesty and her true feeling to me. when go further to other issue such as my finding of the new deal between CHT and my friends' travel agency, she wasn't surprise at all and asked me to mind my own business, the ultimate finding is there are 2 person in the world ( quote from her ) I can turst, my wife at home and she outside. I am too naive to any one.
Shopping for new job is on going, Conde Nast is the first to appear, I turned down the first screening 2 months ago when receiving calls from Julian, I was at Keelung night market with my wife and exciting about the offer from Helix - the listing company who willing to grant me the shell, since I didn't take the offer and moving toward an unknow job shopping, I accept the interveiwing with the recuriter first. this is an international publishing house with 2 fashion magazine publication in TW, a fashion brand in TW and preparing for a management team succession plan. I reluctant to told my wife this potential offer, but I can't help to share everything with her, she laught, very honest opinion, a Fashion driving business will never take me as country manager - to represent it's image in town, although I do know the buisness, more or less like the days in Sony Music, and I do know I equip the capability to manage talent in creative world, but my wife maybe right, to reconnected with recuriter pace the road of connecting my future in China.
A lot of friend now know I am looking for career change in China, I did revise my resume and will start to shop for new venture tomorrow.
Afternoon tea with Lulu, accept her consulation suggestion, it will help a little bit, but when she told me about her plan in 2008, I do worried about her, the empanthy come one year ago when my friens worried about me.I will see what I can do for her, but to warm her not to think as naive as I am.
Luis is kind enough to spare time for Freddy, at the end, when we were alone, he told me the 228 concert is very possible to be associated with political event , or be manupluate by those who willing to consume " Transfer Justice ", Freddy is a mature young man who have strong belive , and had a clear mind. he impressed Luis, at least , I tried and spend time together.
Mr. Ching asking me to do some non value added work, I can only accept. but, the feeling is mixing. same as Mr. Han, a nice gentelman always, but when the 11 street decesion make, I can only counting on my own. really.
What surprise me is Sherchun, receiving his call from New York.. long time ago, my 10,000 us grant keep him going until now, I didn't know his continue update means anything, but I knew he didn't forget. so... I may have a chance to see him by end of this month.
I still don't know how to cliam my money back from Fan Yu.. or the paintings is a trade off? well, I don't know
