New Hama is always the greatest Tanpenyaki restaurant in Taipei, clean, neat. stylish, high qaulity, excellent presentation and delicious food; I invite J here for lunch, J is the key network engineer manage who keep our live blood -- network running smooth and stable, he is condider to resign 2 weeks ago due to some frustartion happen in the office space; this lunch is not an retention lunch, but sharing for the work and improvement; I have no idea if my preach touch him or give him a new angle to look his decision; as I told him when sitting beside the stove- don't take emotional decison and don't surrender before fix the problem, don't leave without learn and grow; the food is good as usual, the convesation is full of quality, I thinks he will think more before this leap. a leap we really cound not afford this year. any contingency play ? to be honest, only in our mind, no solid action or planning yet, this is risky, if the service is down, horrible thing will happen and we may facing enormous pressure to keep our performance and to retain current customer.
The meeting with RB is to address the network quality as well, thy flew in the regioanl service director to tackle the problem we've been encoutnered, I am happy to review some insight before prepareing the meeting, such as " don't repeat the history, don't discuss why, but how, when and how to " and to instruct on a timly / speeding delicate team handling our problem, if we forgive the vendor, our customer won't forgive us, they will walk away, they won't wait for us, our compeitiors are hungry for subs we had. we are on our way to No.1. can't fall down now, if the fault cause by our vendor; it like hijacked by high tech, no alternation, no option and no contingency.

Night in Brown Sugar, only 3 of us, but we occupied the best seats and pay the minimum, the only benefit we didn't get is stay longer; thanks to Sam and his brother, we went to the top Jazz lounge downtown , this is the first time I bring my colleague from Japan to place like this , a casual and social venue, to celebrate his 42 birthday, no companion, no flowers, no birthday cake, but with quality of people and decent talked, we stayed there for only an hours, but it seems our relationship with the biggest telecom carrier is getting solid; Consultant Lee is the only guest last night, in the morning, we process a very formal meeting, and an accidental invitation turn on to be a second round of communication with much better result; we touch upon everybody's background and try to figure out the intention / motivation behind this corporation.
it's a little bit strange that I met top of the elite in Taiwan these days, although I am not yet one of them -- and probably will never be, but the circle is getting smaller, which means, mutually, I am associated with them and may be familiar in directly; Mr. lee own one of the expensive condominium in Taipei, neighboring with Robert Tsao-- UMC , Ko tai-ming -- Hung Hai , Berry Lin - Quata -- a top of the cream celebrity and richest persons in Taiwan, he don't drink any alcohol, don't smoke , gambling ? I don't know, don't go out at night or following any activity after dinner, married to a Taiwanese girl and have 2 kids, pretty much the same family style as mine, the chemistry developed well, I think we ( include my Japanese colleague ) become friend after the 60 minutes in Brown Sugar. we even had mutual friend in entertainment field.
Sam get the best seat for us, I am not a big fan for lounge, nor in found of the live Jazz offered in Brown Sugar, but to leverage my background and enjoy some entertainment privilege is something different. We waive the minimum charge of 4,000 NT per VIP corner and secure the best seat there, again, I am not a big fan for night life. it reflect to some of the now happening Taipei only to showcase to my friend.

I was out of the office in the after, having lunch with a veteran in the music industry, sharing his insight about the future of music; we met the second time since he pulling himself out of the music business, he pick up the restaurant -- Mulan , a creative Japanese crusine place, ambience is great, food is delicious, and the person who I talked is knowledgeable; he didn't give up the dream to come back again, but take a rest and think about the music industry is what he plan to do now; he said that he is trapped in the muddy land, can't leverage anything now, the industry is so fuzzy, everyone is short-sighted, so even the talents people can only wait; I am not sure if waiting or status quo is a good strategy, but old fashioned thinking won't turn back the clock, this is the change of the mainstream, all the applications should find their way out of the dark; he is smart enough to figure our what's going on, but need to act instead of wait.
Yes. most of people in the music industry are passive about the music business, but do nothing to alter the situation, after the lunch, I went to a music company and visit one of the old friend, he deliver the same message, but no action at all, it's pathetic, it's like the entire industry , people are waiting for lay off and expect to receive the servant check.

Guess I have developed the skill to conduct a great presentation by integration entertainment background and network experience; my speech for Wind records examine the result perfectly; the 120 minutes speech was one of the best speech I've ever delivered. Can't really tell the excellence came from the stimulation of the pre-YPOer lunch or the inspiration of Matthew lane, I am full of energy and so confidence to give what I have and to react to what I encountered, this is a great experience to me and I have find a new way to my next goal.
Pre YPO lunch is interesting, Mark is so kind to arrange this lunch gathering for me, as a sponsor, he must send the invitation to senior members of the chapter and then fix all the schedule in between, I met the key members in Taiwan chapter and learn a few procedure from them, it takes more then 3 introduction session before qualified as a member, each event must consist of certain member in presence with senior or chapter officers. there's a Taiwan chapter, 10 events, 2 presentation for members -- new members, and a forum -- consist of 12 members to share , grow , learn, and count on , forum is what members value the most, as they mentioned, people like us is very lonely, probably have no friend in the company and hardly can share the truth with family, so, forum play a role for us to share . exchange all the untold things -- yes, the range is high, it's like a group therapy session among young entrepreneurs. to be certified as a member, my following activities is Sep. 18 gathering and Christmas party, according to them, if everything goes smoothly, I may become the member next Feb. it seems I am lucky enough to be identified this year, the last qualified age -- 44 to be the member, and thy told me the target for acquired new members is only 4, so, we are elite of the elites; what I am happy to hear is they told me this is not a drinking club nor a eating club, it's a sharing and contribution party; yes, this is the question mark, when I went home and told me wife this good news, she asked me " what contribution you should perform when become the member, are you contribute to the organization or to the society or just to the senior members ?, this is something I didn’t think of, am I attend for the reputation or fame ? or am I attend to proved I am in the noble level? Or something else, I better find out before performing any duty in the wrong direction. Something meaningful and something value are what I shall cared no simply the fame or fortune.

Sunday and Monday are wonderful holidays for me and my wife, I took a day off and bought the tour package to Chie-Pen -- the hot spring scene in Tai Tung, we took an early flight to Tai Tung, with a casual mood, we had a good time there; the plane arrived at 10:30, shuttle bus was waiting, the tour guy and driver is so humor, I still remember the aboriginal greeting : " Money, Money, Mosalu " and his joke about the " Voice contolle " air conditioner, we check in around 11:00, no rooms ready, so me and my wife decided to experiece a new thing, doing SPA before check in, the SPA boutique is called " Being ", me and my wife registed for double program, the procedure is like take bath first , then the full body massage, by 2:30pm, we check in the hotel and starting to enjoy the hot spring bath and Suana, I took time to read the book " The last myth -- I-Ho army and the 7 alliance's attacting Beijin ", I am glad to finish reading this book in 2 days, as an history fan, if a historian book developed by novel style, then I can't help myself to finish it at once; I am astonished how Chin Dynasty's emplors change their attitude toward the foreign missonary, I am curisoity to know that the first Western Calendar was introducte by Mr. Tang and the foreiger become a Chinese Govermental Official for 30 years, even die in China, I am surprised to know Kang-Shi emproer is the first Chinese Emproer take western medicine to cure his decease, and glad to find out the first place Christian's preaching in China is in San-toung Chi-fu - the hometown of Cong-Ze, the hearthand of tranditioanl Chinese value and cluture,

we had buffee in the hotel, but took the suttle to the night market around 9:00 pm. we had a very good night tonight. next day, moring session is free, I went to enjoy the outdoor SPA and plan out activy in the afternoon, I decided to visit the National Prehistory Musume , I am glad that I make such a decision, the 3 hours tour give me and my wife a brand new aspect about the history of Taiwan and the aborignals here, the in house specialist who guide us for the exhibition is very capable, we followed her for 1 hours and learn the most of prehistory history of Taiwan, understand the Pei-nan culture which exist 3000 to 5000 years ago , see the natural develpment of Taiwan, the stonehege and iron age of Taiwan, after 2 days relax, the museme tour rich our soul again, cause we don't know when we will return again, this is why I am so happy to visit it this time and add it on our itinerary.
