Re-budget in Tokyo
Finishing the rebudget session this morning , with the blessing from Tokyo and other pre-ground work by Tokyo staff, the under performance figures approved, although the management didn't show bad feeling about the further negtive deficit, But I can sense the new Chairman of the board is jumping on the show, he want to be actively involved in our operation. I am find and ease with this situation. as I am only take breath before the long hal.
The early briefing to top management one evening before is where the consensuse build. no surprise to them and shows our sincere attitude, I am not quite sure about the " True feeling " for Japanese executives. they shows different attitude.
welcome party before the re-budget is never a good party, I am not in the right mood to spending time with them, as we spend whole day fixing number and slides, then before 7:00 pm, my liutenant complete the " working version ", a long dinner waited, I am welcoming resigned COO to join us, he throws a few stones to the water and now I am the one carry it. went back hotel by 11:00 pm, I worked all the slides until wee and don't know when I went to bed, the sleeping quality wasn't good. nightmare after nightmare.
Dressing up in suit, the only person at the meeting room, my properly dressing demostrate my respect to all the executive attending the budget meeting, and to show my respect to this session. the lunch after, Chairman inform Tokyo executive I missed my wife's birthday yesterday, to follow the paraphse, I shared with everyone that the birthday wish from my wife is to make my re-budget session a success one today. wow, I hit them hard.
at the airport, receiving all the document and mails,I want to take a full rest before the long walk. yes.
Tali and Katrina
Typhoon Tali rampage Taiwan today when I am away from Taiwan; staying at the meeting room in Tokyo, I was thinking about the hurricane Katrina which direct hit Mississipi hard yesterday, the Jazz town New Orlean is like Venice -- but without gantelo. using the free WLAN at the office writing my blog. this is one of the many round of buget preparation. the sun is shing outside, and we are trapped in the cubicle waiting for number judges. how strange it is?
M. and S. received a hard complain by me before flying over yesterday. at the airport, I tried to be nice and buy them sandwitch lunch; we didn't talk much, when changing the yang - Japanese dollar at the bank counter at airport, I asked one EVA air stewardness for one dollor, she kindly do it, no surprise, she is the one of the flight cabinet on my flight, and she did serve me at the business zone, delay flight cause the delay arrived. I brought 2 ladies to the Laman restaurant. it was nice but it's too salty , the pork soup is good, but how come it tasted so salty this time. we return to hotel by mindnight. I don't want to do anything but fix my PC and watching the pay TV.
Calling home and found the inccidental call from Chen cause her great concern about my love life before met her. it brew the love and itimacy beyond my expectation. she love me deep as we were in love before . she remind me to keep my temper and to play the role of the CEO, acting to perform good , admit wrong and beg for another chance. I knew this is what I have to do and what I hate to do.
Stack in the tiny meeting room for a day, had a soba - Japanese rice noodle for lunch, the chance to see the world outside office. the only break we had today. first session of review take place by 2 :30 pm, finally, new Chairman in Taiwan decided this is " My budget " and free us from prepare it on our own manner. we will do it again by 5:00 pm, I take the window to do a very small shopping in the office shop. this is yet a very boring day. my turn will come by tomorrow.
Hochen called this morning , a surprise, he asked whether the documentary film still showing and leave his mobile to me.. well, the PIM , Hay hay hay........

Second Budget review
I am fad about the qulity we bring to the meeting table, no correct figurees. lack of strategic story to tell, everything we present shows we don't have a direction. I am really mad and call up my wife explained how frustrated I am to work with imprefesional managers.
If the budgeting itself can't support our hard working, everything will be in vain. I am at Tokyo Narita airport using the wireless lan service, I did it at CKS airport as well. quiet an comprehensive experience. waiting for the bus will never be a boring thing to do.
Airport experience, a great one. do nothing in the airplane, reading tones of gabage, what doing this ? I am suppose to take the limo to hotel now, waiting for the hot laman to come. a sweet dream tonight.

Busy in rebudget
I am too busy in re-budget session this week and hardly catch up with my blog writing, a lot thing happened recently, I can only list as index :
1. Flying over to James wedding, met with Stan and her loving daughter Monic, Ray, Uncle Chris. a long wedding I've ever attend other than my own. Only Tom and I showed up. a good memories for me.
2. Business / Casual dinner with C. and her husband, now we consititude a family tie before the partnership, good and health and complex feeling.
3. Supporting Yang by sending message every day, this is a good medicine for both of us, it's like looking at the mirrow and see your own reflection too.
4. Breakfast with Hochen - a reunine gathering, he encouter with career anxiaty as well. a surprise to me, I thought this is a mid-life crisis, but it's not.
5. Chen S.L ring by midnight inform the passing away of her dad. a long time memory of the girl I ever kissed and the unpleasent encouter afterward.
6. Budget make me feel uncomfortable, as the quality of preparation is so poor, I put a question mark to the managers who contribute to it.
7. Turn down the offer from EZ fly, but it seems there' s an open ending, S. didn't give up this approach.
8. Harding think of how to prepare birthday surprise to my wife. this is a guilt. can't be forgive.
9. flying over to Tokyo for budget now, catching the tail of Typhoon. I am overwelling by working so late, so hard these days.
10. the company name comes out -- Credit Assocaition -- 利群會社, I love it.
