My back pain is killing me
It happend too often these days, like the pain will stick to my life after, I wan't feel good before the Bangkok trip, taking some musule relaxation tablet and feeling better, I though it was a temperory sydrome, however, when execercise twice last week, everything went wrong, the pain is getting stronger and stronger, I hardly can stand still. every sit take decent effort to get UP again. and the back bone wasn't stiff , or it keep stiff all the time. I need to do another X ray check up next week, there no time for delay my worsten situation.
a very busy Thurdsay, morning session with Mrs. Chang, with a 50,000 NT consoldent grant, I sat at the cafe waiting for her to come, wearing all black and late for 40 minutes, she was checking the sound system for the memorial Messa on coming Sat. we chat for a little while, I updated her what's the plan in reagard to give the best we can for Peter. a Golden Horse Memorial Ceremorny, A tribute concert and a release of a complilation with his music works. I am not sure what eles I can offer. I am doing what I can. their daugher is kind of naive, she plan to pursue her study aboard, to me, this is a waste of money , under such a circumstance, I don't think the family can support her wish. but What can I say, a chat with Profeeor Chuang and send him the John Williams concert tickets, we talked about the country, we worried about the political situation and we share the same feeling toward the " Relasing Power " of Presiden Chen , he was elected by cititen, should not grand such a power to people other than people's choice, this is a manipulation of power, a game to me. as Tawinese is so mild, there's won't be any rally, riot or demostration to foc

The meeting with CHTF CEO confirm one more project for Lichun - the Flying Eagle developing project is a good one. Dr. Chew have no idea that I managed to make it happen. the following is to have C. contact Tom for shooting of the documentary and to coordinate the International Seminar for THINK roll out in Taiwan.
C. send me another note to say how sorry she was to show me her angry eyes again. I am not sure why she is so emotional these days, but I can tell the marginal effect is lower than before, maybe in my mind, I have decided to leave by Sep. she is not happy or what ? last weekend, I express strong concern to her, she didn't come back to her standing point. but when send out the mail on Sunday, she is willing to gain back a few of the ground. I am not favor with one point : to train our inexperience staff, We can't interupt what they are doing. otherwise, the experience won't be relevant them, even if might jerpordise the relationship with our customer? why can't teach, we don't need to interrup or take over, but at least , we should teach, right? this is not what I am favored.
lunch with Chen Shen Chin, a long lost friend, we havn't see each other for about 10 years. he called on Monday, I return his call and set up the lunch yesterday, over the phone, I can sense his purificaiton in life, so a wild guess and asked if he turn to vegeterian? he acknowledge. well, I book on vegeterian restarant for us. when bring him to the restaurant, I found it isn't a vege. resturant, it's a Thai restaurant, the Chinese charactor between Vege and Thai are so similar, it put me to the wrong reservation, luckily, there's a huge vegeterian buffee just aroud the corner, so, we went there instead. he then told me the story he've encounted. how a book changed his life 9 years ago. he decided to follow the simplicity and living a very humble life, he even close his dential clinic 9 months ago and decided to bring his daughter to Chen-Chiang Provice in China to live a new community life. in a temple where younger people taking care of elder people and share eveything togethere, I am really surprise to see such a dramatic change in a person, who I know very aggrestive 10 years ago. he brought me the book which changed his life. it's call " Liao-Feng 4 lessions ", I will read it. after the lunch. I decided to join father and wife's trip to Fa-Ku Sheng in Ching Sheng. this is one of the peaceful place I love.
It rains so heavy, we arrived around 3:30, as there's no tourist, we take our time to visit the historical development of Zen and the temple. in the development hall. we saw a monk taking his Zen in a closing room, this is the tradition they did , a man put in a samll room ( like a jail ) by the senior monk and think, read, write the Budda, the live is really a compelling shock to normal poeple. the design of Fa Ku Shen is very elegent and simple, you can see the quality it wish to present, and they did. after the 90 minutes tour, we went to Tamshui enjoy the famous deep fried spare-rib pork with rice. the restaurant name itself " The Black Shop ". I ate at the restaurnt for about 25 years. since my colleage days. father enjoy it very much.
today is Dragon Boat Festival Day. a national holiday, I reserve a restauant for it's Basin Crusine. always want to try it, but never a chance. bring the wholefaimly ( with my mother and witout Fruit - who's in school today ), tomorrow will be a big day for me. seeing Mrs. Chang. having lunch with Professor Chuang. YPO last meeting before kick out party , and seeing Hochen with Sher-Ing together.
Davince Code; Hotel Rwanda and Bellini
Bring family to the movie Da Vince Code - the trendy movie which you hardly ignore, this is a promise fullfill for Fruit, before her 3rd term school examination; she asked to read the book when it wasn't published in Chinese one more year ago, but she didn't finish reading it. instead, I took it from her book shelf and finished reading a few months ago, as a novel, this is a easy to digest book. but to convert it to a movie, the detail and description is hard to reveal on big screen; but as a trendy movie, it's a box office guarentee when the title sell to movie company.
The unusual thing I did is to bring my father with us for this movie, since his heart problem occured, we have to be with him all the time. Initally, I will bring Fruit to the movie only, but when asked Sound's interest, he is in fond of it. so Sound beg his mother to go with, the only problem left is my father, who will taking care of him when we were away for movie? the answer is why not birng him with us? my father havn't go to movies for 3 decades at least, I thought of a 83 years old man should try something new before it's too late, so we encourge him to come with us; kid were thinking, such as, if the movie is too exciting, will it impact on his heart? our answer to this is, why don't we asked him to close his eye is he feel the blood presure is up. so, we begin our 2 and half hours movie trip together. Warner Village Cinama was not as crowded as I thought. maybe we are there before 10 am. everybody was happy with the movie, father didn't falling asleep when seeing the movie; I decided to bring the family to the Japanese-Italian restaurant - Bellini for lunch. father asked if we need to pay tip when eating at the restaurant, I was wondering why this question occured? then he told me, if restaurant request tips, it must be expensive; then I told him my philophophy in life, you have to live better while you can. he seems agree with my comment. we have Spagelti. Pizza , Ceaser Salar, it's very possible that this is his first Italian cruisine in life - exclude the trip to Italy.
Wife can't start the car before sending Fruit to the meeting point for school, called for road rescure. we were told to keep the engine running for at least 30 minues, so I suggested to bring Sound to the movie " Hotel Rwnada " - this is the film I always want to see, it only screen in one theather. we take the chance to bring our 9 years old son with us. Tuci and Hutu's civil war is a great disater in human life. from 1994, morn then 1 millions were killed in the genticise tragedy, I never understand why peopel killing people in such a brutal way and can live the rest of their life in peace? Hochen gave me a book " Men On Men " - 8 man from Sweden talking about the equl - gender issue in man's perpective. it mentioned " We should never have enemy under 7 years old ", it's so vivid. but when you see the movie Hotle Rwanda and learn the truth of killing kid for sweeping the off-spring of race, You hardly can image why people become so evil? 3 of us - wife. Sound and me all agree that this is a better film than Da Vince Code. I am glad Sound can grasp the value and know the world earlier than other kids.
Reading Men on Men making me understanding Hochen more. an idealist and a man of humality. I am thinking of buy him a pack of the cartoon book " I was born in Iran ", which inspire me a lot.
