A bad night
although the grand mother from the movie : Tso Her's grandma told me never bring sad mood at night, providing the situration last night, it's hard to stick on her advise. wait until dawn and the sorrow will go away.
it came all from the financial situation, I share with my wife we should stop using her sister's house-keeping service after Chinese New Year, she declined to response for so many times, I asked why, finally she mentioned something about my mother, who accuse her to encourge me to go my own way, to be an entreprunure. if we relief her sister's role, my mother will simply awar of our seriouse financial situation, they the accusation may come even fieries, I share her opinion, but told her we must facing the situation before us. if not, then we don't have any chance to stay at the house or bring back any confidence.
then I realized the tuition of Sound and Fruit may in trouble after Chinese New Year, yes, the first time agian. we are running of cash. my wife is so mad about my over-spending before when we were still have saving, I don't know if there's a chance that good life will come back, but to get used to the humble life and be confidence to our future is so difficult, this is what I should learn. a hard lesson to digest.
The product development session this morning is great, Jae and Celine were valuable assest to our company, indeed.
Andrew called to share his care about me and my business, I don't know if this is a good intention, but to preapre a business plan of our own is critical to any potential investor. this is what I should do right now.
Advise after Advise
This is the day of harvest, spiritly insteady of physically; lunch with Alex, a recruiter turn friend who I contact a few days ago invite me to a Japanese Lunch. I share with him my learning from the past year, he shared with me the delima he's facing , I learn a lot from the conversation we did; when asked him " Intergrity " always put in one person's criterial whenever I process with executive recruiter, but why it turn out to be a " not so important " attribution when working in one company, he reply with " integrity " can't never be a rating element for professional recruiter, because it is hard to trace and it won't guarentee for good. as people changed, yes, so they simply make the " Integrity " a deal maker or breaker. this is the first thing I learnt from him. second is how to close a deal, he mentioned it it how strong the trust base built, not the deal negociation. especially when you are new or new in the industry, Track record is the only credit you can prove yourself. I learn it again.
as for career development, he told me, as a friend. he will encourge me to stay for another year before turning back for the corporate latter, as the first 2 years are the toughtest and he don't see any down side if someone tried to start his own company but fail. then decided to return to his comfort zone. Alex mentioned this is the candidate issue, not a corporate issue, in most cases, corporate prefer to recruit a man who have the experience of failure or frustration. I am not in such a bad situation and I should not let me drop to the deep hole.
Calling wife, she told me never showing my feeling on my face, she sensed I was too quite last night when having the Forum family dinner, she said the poker face will never put me in the roll of my so call forum buddies, tried myself to fit in the enviroment when in the situation, be and mingul, otherwise, no man will dear to enter deal with me. this is what I should learn from her, don't show my inner feeling ourside. when in the enviroment, be the man suit it.
afternoon session with Dr. Yang, the guy who inventing communication board, he disclosed his background with me - a CIA who participant on 2 major international case - The Formosa Riot and Assisnation of auther Chang Yi-liang, these 2 case make him lost the passion to be in the political vibe, follow his heart with Buddalism and study Assitative Techonology - a very advacne technology in J. Hopkins which earn himself a PH D. he also reveal a secret about Dr. Chew - the founder of Eagle Fly - how he was force to leave Faculty position. well, my function as consulting fall in 3 catalougies : raising fund for his foundation, find silent partner to his company or forming a JV with him techonology team, third , identify project for him to keep his engineering team. I discussed with my wife, her instict is we should not take the consultant role, as we may not deliver the result or fulfill his expectation. which I agree.
Mrs. Chen and Mr. Lu was the 2 persons I arranged to co-chair the social session of this year's new year discussion, the one and half hours conversation make me deeply believe this is a good combination, good arrangement .
Yuping came to see us without a prior notice. I didn't spend time with her, my flu is with me, I need to go home earlier, however, I still accompany my wife to the ginger duck hot pot.
High Speed Rail - Part 2
Nita deliver her High Speed Rail Part 2 promise to YPOer yesterday, althought I had a nightmare with Fruit on Friday night, I knew that to bring Sound with me for the day will leave better room for the teacher to handle her case with her mother at home.
Woke up 7, wake Sound up by 7:30 am, we walked to a tranditional breakfast restuarnt and having our nice breakfast - soy bean milk ; meat bum and egg cake. a taxi drove us to Bainchio rail station, this is where HSR begin its operation.
Bainchio railstation is huge, a 3 rail-conjuction - MRT / TR / THSR , quite a convience transportaion stop and a new city hub in greater Taipei area.
the train depart at 9:25 on time, I check the LEC board in front of you, it show the speed of the train sometimes, we did hit 298 km / hour. the train is smooth and comfortable. we stop at Tauyoun, chinchu and arrive at Taichun by 10:23.
Nita did a very brief speech to us and have 2 station manger show us the Taichun station. the station tour is amazing, a high-class station with state of the art equipment and facility. although in the first year of operation, it will face some challenge such as : the connecting transportion to the city, extend service from Bainchio to Taipei. but relatively speaking, this is a fun and educational journey.
Stanly take up the second funciton of the journey, entertian us to the brand new hotle he operated in Taichung - Hotle One, a hotel beyon hotel - according to Stanly's introuction - a very customer driving design and caring. we had lunch at the top floor of the hotel - 46 floor. with the combination of India / Japanese / Western fusion food. I bite my touge again, then lost my appertise to the delicious food. -- Yes. Deli cious is the restaurat Mr. Han brought me last Friday, a French own restaurant provide excellent French crusine.
rest at the 29th floor lounge until 3 pm, we take up the option to visit National Nature and Science Musueme, today is the last day for the Chin Tomb Doll exhibition, it was too crowded, you can hardly catch up with the guide they specially arrange for us.
Leaving Taichung by 5:49 pm, non stop high speed train to Benchiao -- 6:30 pm, only 41 minutes to Taipei. this is the end of a perfect trial .
the only regret is not getting time to chat with the VP of PR, without the mood and chance, I don't initative the business talk with Mr. Chia...
Big fight cotinue
The impact on the big fight with Fruit continue from last week, last week, the confrontation cause a very bad impact, we feel so upsat about her, not only complaint about not enough cloth, but to shout, yield and point finger to us ( her parent ) with F... word, how can we endure this bad attitude from your daughter, I am so disappointment, this week, when her mother pick up her from the school this Friday, I tried to be the negociator to comfort her and bring some rationale about why we can't agree with her requrest about buying new clothes --- she never fulfill her promise to the family or to herself before, why should parent to feed her with her basis value and materialism approach? I don't understand.
The big fight came up on Friday when i call her up to talk about it, she didn't response the first time, but to stay in my TV room watching TV, the second time I call her and inform the subject of the converstation : about her new clothes, she walked down to the living room, I explained to her only one suit allowed this time, she went mad and come up with F.. word to me agian, I was as upset, querrel after qurerrel , she went up to the second floor, lock herself in the bathroom and start to distrupt all the bathing equipment in the room, all the toilet paper , and the toilet lid was broke up by her violent, we didn't promote violent at home, how come she did it to her family, to her parent, her grad parent and her brother? we call her teacher for help, the follow day, her teacher Shih brought 2 of her best classmate to our house, tried to settle the case.
I am so disappointment, I give up already, in front of her teacher, wife have her to promise 3 very important message :
1. Never point finger to her family with dirty word.
2. Never disrupt house falicility and conduct violence to the family.
3. Whenever her request can't be fulfill by parent, never turn to her grand parent ( there are cases when her grand father can't satisfy her need, she start with F. word to him )
we will hide away when she turn to 18, because she is the devil to the family. we must escape.
